Thanks for your interest in Nomad Drum Cases. As a general rule, we do not include foam in our cases - though we do add a felt lining upon request. The handles are a rigid plastic, similar to what you might find on an old briefcase. Unfortunately, this site won't let me attach a photo, but, with that having been said, you can try looking at the photos on our website: www.nomadcases.com
