Rogers Wood Dyna-Sonic Snare Drum 5x14 rebuilt shell

This is a Rogers Dyna-Sonic snare drum with a "clone" shell and one unoriginal hardware part: the top hoop. All the other hardware is era correct Rogers parts. The shell is an exact copy of the last wood shell Dyna-Sonics of the CBS era which were ten ply all maple shells with no reinforcement hoops. (per Rob Cook's Rogers book). There is no badge. There is the script Rogers metal logo. I don't know who the builder was but it is an excellent copy of that era Rogers shell with the right bearing edge and miniscule snare bed. I am very familiar with wood dynasonics, having owned a few, and this one sounds just like the others from this era. It is in excellent cosmetic and mechanical shape.

Rogers expert Jack McFeeters evaluation: "For the Blue Sparkle clone. top hoop is not Rogers. Lugs, throw, dampener, bottom and frame .. + excellent condition. Parts value on those is on the upper end of expectation. The provenance of the built adds value to the drum overall. It is a color that will find ready acceptance and is desirable. I think it should be priced at or close to the price point of the new drums, perhaps slightly below. The fact it has no badge is in its favor as far as I am concerned. There are many who would want a Blue Sparkle DS. It is unknown how long they would wait for one to be issued. Knowing the builder and his reputation raises it to a better level. It isn't a hack job.
