In 1987 Yamaha bought the Premier Percussion factory in England, in an attempt to establish Yamaha in the tough European market.
At first glance this kit looks a lot like a prelude to the Stage Custom model released in 95, but it’s more like a Premier APK dressed in Yamaha hardware.
The shells are amazing! 6ply Composite (they are thin) mahogany and poplar, and have that slightly undersize-diameter shell that Premier is known for.
The Red Granite wrap is in good shape. See the photos for scratches.
All the parts including the chrome are in great condition. Quality parts all around.
A true Power Tom: 10 inch diameter, 12 inches tall!
Condition and Work: We completely took it apart. Then we sanded the rough spots on the bearing edges. We buffed the wrap, the lugs and the hoops. We also installed a new batter head, reassembled it and tuned it.
