Early 20th Century, Unknown 12 inch marching snare. Looks like the bottom head has a piece of a JC Penney tag. Maple hoops, Mahogany over ash shell. 5 nickel-plated thumb rods single tension. Top and bottom calf heads. The strainer only says "Pat Appl. For" No brand markings of any kind. Spring snare wires. All original. Comes with a strap for marching.
We took it apart and redid the French Polish finish. Also patched the bottom head with goatskin and hide glue.
This is a real drum NOT a toy. Sounds great!
