This is a 5x14 white Ludwig Vistalite snare drum, that I put together, less than a year ago. I found the shell online. With the exception of the snare butt plate, Pearl snare wires, and badge, all the parts are brand new. The classier Imperial Lugs look better than the Bowtie Lugs, in my opinion. Unfortunately, I just noticed a couple hairline cracks near airhole badge. I secured them with clear tape. Nothing has happened to its great sound, which I think is somewhere between wood and metal. I never blasted away on it, as I'm a jazz drummer. The whole project cost me over 400 hundred dollars, so I'm taking a loss, because of the cracks. I just sat down a played it with my kit, and it sounds the same as it ever did. Free shipping to CUSA
