Here’s a cool cymbal that I got years ago in a trade from a ‘wild man’ whose enthusiastic playing put a small crack in the bow. It now has an effects hole installed in place of the crack (a professional repair), and has remained crack-free since 2018. It does sound a little trashier / drier than before, but not too crazy -- not full 'O-Zone'. As a bonus, the hole also makes it super convenient for carrying!
UFIP Class cymbals are similar to Zildjian K’s. Check out the vid where I’ve even put it up against a fantastic 17” K Dark Thin crash that I handpicked at Memphis Drum Shop ... It can hold its own, and has mojo. 1320 grams before the hole ; 1293g after hole (if that means anything). No cracks or flea bites. Perhaps a little ever-so-slight keyholing.
