I always thought this was the trifecta of Ludwig cool.
The Straight System, printed in 1936, from Frank's Drum Shop in Chicago, with a pair of Leedy & Ludwig 1a sticks. Condition is used on the cover, internal pages are excellent. Sticks are used. Former owner was Bernard Quick.
As I see it , The Straight System was first published in 1924.Reprinted in 1936 by Franks Drum Shop. Sticks would date to 1950 to 1952?
This was an Ebay purchase 25 years ago. The seller was Mr. Quicks son out of the Chicago area . Mr. Bernard Quick Sr was a Chicago drum student who took lessons at Frank's Drum Shop.
This was an early Ebay purchase for me ,I got into a bidding war with a more seasoned and respected collector than I. I won. Time to pass it on.
