I picked up an old cymbal stand and I can't figure out who made it. It has a ball-head swivel used on cheap camera tripods, but a very sturdy steel stand. It has two "Made in Germany" stickers. Any ideas?

3 days agoI Agree, most likely Sonor., BUT check out K&M Drum Hardware / Koenig & Meyer, a German mfg of drum accessories since 1948. They popped up after the War. Sort of a Wahl berg and Auge or Gibraltor type company . They do the barbel nut, might have been an after market supplier to SONOR. I have a stand mounted drink holder from K&M ,metal and rusty and very odd.

2 days agoThanks for all the leads. Which years did Sonor make stands like this? I looked at every Sonor catalog from 1962 to 1990 and didn't see any barbell wingnuts.
