Heres a fairly rare Sonor Artist Series, Made in Germany snare drum (2000’s to early 10’s). 10-Lug , 14"x5". Black nickel over chrome finish throughout (shell, hoops, lugs). All original except for heads and one tension rod. The finish is partially rubbed off on most of the lugs (the worst example is shown in the last pic) -- this actually seems to be a common issue with these snares ; There's also some very light pitting on the butt plate BUT the majority of the drum has a fantastic mirror-like appearance.
The main reason I’m selling is because I’ve found the shell diameter to be too small. It takes more turns to get tuned up and overstretches the heads unnecessarily...(for some reason manufacturers sometimes do this and I suppose the idea is for the head to seat better). Also, I'm not a fan of the Tunesafe lug system because of the turning resistance, however they really help keep keep the drum in tune.
The drum is hefty, weighing 11.3 lbs. Sounds amazing of course!
