PRISTINE 1968 Champagne Sparkle Ludwig Hollywood sets with stands, cymbals, pedals, throne, cases, etc. The set is suitable for a collector of mint drum sets as well as a drummer, of course.
Here is a chance to own a COMPLETE set purchased the same day in 1968 from one dealer (other than the Champagne Sparkle snare I added to compliment the chrome SUPRAPHONIC that came with the set).
The set presents as absolutely brand new down to the heads on all drums, both sides. The set has never been gigged, has never been taken apart(!), and is exactly as it left the factory with no scuffs, pits, extra holes, etc.
It came with a chrome SUPRAPHONIC snare, but I added a matching Champagne Sparkle snare and a snare stand for it.

It has been pointed out to me that by examining the lathing one can determine the maker. Since several were doing this in 1968, I will leave it to the buyer to determine. I have read that some were ink-stamped, some were seconds, etc. These all sound like they should based on my experience playing since 1955.
Every drum includes a black canvas padded LEVY'S zipper case in perfect condition. A set is about $5-600 new today from what I can determine.
Leather cymbal case and soft carry case for stands, etc.
I took photos, but I am not good at it, so I will retake some of them.
Pick-up or shipping.. Cost of shipping will be the actual charges that will be determined once I have the shipping zip code, have packed the set and taken it to the shipper for a price quote. (I had to place an amount in this ad or it would not post. My guess is that the actual charges will be between $200-$300 depending upon your zip code.)
This would be a good set for a recording studio that wants to create the ORIGINAL sound of Ludwig drums from this period.
If you have ANY questions or want to see the set, just let me know through Drum Sellers and I will make it happen. I promise that if you know vintage Ludwig drums, you will be AMAZED.
