One owner shell kit. Made in 1990. These drums sound like my 80s Gretsch (imo) I believe these drums will eventually appreciate in value when drummers run the full circle of collectable kits, Rogers, Camco, Gretsch etc.
This vintage of drums 1980-1990 are the Jasper shells with the extremely durable Fibes lugs. 6 ply shells for that Great Corder Sound, if you know what I mean.
I have not not tested each drum, but they were factory installed with audio transducers in each drum. A small 1/4 “ female plug , as photos show. This sale also includes a Barcus Berry mixer. This was made for Zildjian.
There are a few nicks and scrapes on the drums. I would not wrap them but a possible stain redo could be very nice. The sizes are 14x22 - 9x13 - 14x13 deep and 15x14 deep. 6 1/2 x 14 snare drum with perfect throw off strainer.
Nice playable Evans heads. Original Fibes spurs. The 2 toms have Ludwig type mounts. No holes or mount on the 9x13.
I have 2 sets I’m selling, this and the Buddy Rich style Slingerland. I can’t keep drums on a shelf. I’m happy with my old CC Conn bass drum and 100 year old Leedy snare drum. I don’t need or want a new sound, I’m content with what I have. Plus, I don’t have room.
I think the potential buyer of this kit will be someone wanting a Gretsch round or stop sign badge kit. These are in fantastic condition for half the price.
Shipping is not practical for me at age 75. It would be expensive and each drum would need to be stripped of all hardware and telescoped into bundles.
$$$ if interested I will sell only bd-and toms minus snare drum. Snare Drum only $300

24 days agoSure they’re available. As you don’t have a photo or history, this appears like a scam I’ve seen before. If I’m incorrect, sorry. A legitimate return will be required or I’ll contact administrators and you’ll be dealt with accordingly. Have a great life.

24 days agoExcuse me, Mr. Welch I was only trying to get information on your drum set. I’m sorry you feel this way. I just acquired a set of. Corder recently and saw yours and thought it would be nice to add to my collection. So please don’t connect me with any type of scam. It’s not the way I do business and I do have a photo. I got off of Drum sellers so I really don’t know what you’re talking about. good luck with your sale.

24 days agoMy apology, I’ve experienced the scam of someone looking to buy from out of state, they say someone will come buy and pick the drums up, they fedx a fake bank check, it’s all very deceiving. Your comment seemed like broken English, typical of scammers. Also zero history or photo. Best regards, MW

24 days agoThis is not a scam. I was interested in your Drums and trying to figure out if there was a way we can possibly set up a delivery due to the fact I live in Philadelphia. Sorry you feel that way. Good luck.

24 days agoSure, sorry I can’t ship, I’m to old to pack them. They’ll be listed here if someone can come to Mt Dora Florida with cash and pick them up. Best regards, MW

24 days agoThanks for getting back to me. I understand your hesitancy. I have also been scammed. However, all I wanted was information. I don’t know where that is in Florida. I have a friend that lives in Jacksonville and a nephew that lives in Alabama I don’t know if any of those two places are close. and just for future reference if you take Drums to FedEx, they will pack them for you. I’ve done it in the past anyway that being said, let me see what I could do and am I correct when you said you would sell the snare drum separately. Thanks, Tony.

24 days agoJacksonville is 100 miles north. I prefer someone coming buy with cash. This kit is rare and under the radar to drummers under 50. I’ve reduced the price from $1200. That’s a good thing if a buyer wants to pay the fedx packing shipping cost. MW

24 days agoWell, let me see what I can do. I would really like to get the whole set but if not, I guess I would have to settle on the snare drum. I’m making phone calls as we speak. I do like them and I am definitely interested so as soon as I get definitive answers, I will get back to you thank you hopefully no one buys them on my end. In the meantime I guess it would be good for you in the meantime, OK thanks again. Talk soon.

24 days agoCan I ask you? What about the snare drum would you consider selling that separately and would that be shippable? Thank you.
Michael Welch
24 days agoI would sell the snare drum for $300 / take it to fedx and you can arrange shipping and packing. The snare is nice. I owned an original Fibes snare drum, the model Buddy Rich played. The throw off is excellent. Wood is much different than the fiberglass. This drum is very crisp sounding. Doesn’t sound like a gretsch Jasper snare drum because of the throw off. Has a unique sound, great for backbeat rim shots, imo.

24 days agoIf interested I would list it separate on drumsellers for your payment.

24 days agoI am interested in it. I don’t know how we would arrange FedEx. I will put it on my Visa if that works thank you. Here is my phone number 610-804-6137. Probably easier than email. Thanks again.

24 days agoI listed the drum , upon payment I’ll take it to local fedx. We can then chat on the phone with fedx phone number etc. before we do this let me call fedx and confirm this is ok with you paying. I’m not home at this this, we should chat on the phone first, I’m good with that, I’ll get back asap when we can arrange a phone chat. mw
