Legend Drums were designed by renowned drum builder Joe Montineri and built by the Kaman company (known for their Gibraltar hardware) in the Ovation guitar factory - hence the beautiful finishes. These were extremely well built drums in their day. Great sounding shells with heavy duty art deco lugs and throw offs. 8 ply maple snare drum with Evans heads, and Pearl snare wires. In excellent condition. One flat spot on the batter side hoop, shown in photo, which is not a dent and looks to be a factory anomaly. One very small ding in the lacquer by the vent hole, and some light wear. Some light corrosion on the strainer/throw off but that can be easily cleaned. Beautiful maple shell with clear lacquer.
