1958, a transition year for Gretsch, moving from 3 ply to 5 ply shells. This kit is a 3 ply shell and 14x14 is 5 ply.
Snare drum is PERFECT, wide 42 wires snare strand, Microsensitive working perfect.
Bass drum has big muffling mechanism inside operated by wingnut outside.
Original calf heads on bass drum and 12 tom.
Wrap is perfect. Been in my drum collection for 30 years.
