The rectangular tag says: Chas A. Stromberg & Son. Drums, Harps and Musical Instrument Mfrs. Boston Mass. Charles was a contemporary of George Stone both working in Boston at the Turn of the Century. Too bad this wasn't a Stomberg guitar. They are valued between $4,500. and $33,000. Amwarco bottom calf head has 2 George Stone ink stamps on it.

8 months agoWhat an awesome drum. It would be nice if the prices on rare drums matched the guitars, but in a way I'm glad they don't.

8 months agoDon't know why they don't, they go back further than guitars, I guess most drummers aren't dumb enough to pay the prices guitarists do. Thanks , Ting

8 months agoGotta be a rare bird. In my 25+ years of collecting I have never seen one. I have a Stone single-tension marching drum, but no Stromberg. Congrats on a great find.
