Historical Info: I was able to confirm... the bass drum on this kit came from the very last drum set made by W&A. It was originally built by Jacob Tharpe in 1979 for drummer Louie Santoro of the Worcester MA based band 'August'. (see last pic) It was a double bass drum set in white. I received both bass drums from the Louie's brother. (Unfortunately he didn't have the rest of the set). The tom and floor tom came from other W&A sets from the 1970s. It appears Jacob Tharpe was the original builder as well.
