Duplex Spirit Of St. Louis Black Nickel over Brass

This is a Duplex snare drum from the 1930s.
It is a Spirit of St. Louis model, but t is fashioned with a much less common black nickel over brass shell.
All of the parts are original to this drum, though the resonant side head is ripped.
This is a very unique drum, the shell measures 14" but it is made to take 13" heads. It is 6" deep.
The throwoff, butt plate. hoops, rods and claws are all lacquered brass. There is typical wear around the hoops from a drum this age. There is also unfortunately a spot where someone along the way tried to "clean" the shell, exposing some of the brass underneath.
