Silvertone Samick 6 String Acoustic Guitar with strap Used

Thanks for stopping by. Up for purchase is a used, but not abused Silvertone 6 string acoustic guitar in very decent condition. This is a late era guitar made by Samick after 2001 when Samick bought the rights to the Silvertone brand from Sears, Roebuck & Co.
Briefly, what/who is Samick? They are among the world’s largest musical instrument manufacturers. Samick’s manufacturing plants are in Indonesia (southeast Asia) and their US headquarters is in Gallatin Tennessee. From what I’ve learned, far east manufacturing in the modern era NO WAY implies cheap or inferior instruments. Depending on the myriad of companies, including US brand names that Samick contracted with to make gear (i.e. Epiphone acoustics), the quality runs from entry level toy instruments to high-end custom-made gear.
This type of guitar was made to be affordable to compete with the large name-brand guitar companies. This Silvertone guitar comes from my late Father’s estate. He loved guitars, particularly “underdogs.” Dad would buy them dirt cheap at flea & antique markets and give them far more TLC than their makers did at the factory. The label says this guitar is a “Pro Series” Model SD3000PKN with serial number HF0712573 and is made in China. It has a very pleasing light blond finish and seems to lack any known flaws except some brushing type marks in the pick guard. This guitar is ultra light weight. Might be ideal for a beginner or smaller statured person. It sounds surprisingly good with what I would term good action. It needs new strings. The pictures have to say the rest. I welcome questions, although I am not a luthier nor do I have a lot of experience with guitars. Don’t like my price? Make a solid and fair offer. Free pick up if you're near the Harrisburg-Lancaster-Reading area of southeastern PA.
