It would help if you provided the size of each drum and cymbal(s). See if you can 'date' the drums. This link will help: http://www.vintagedrumguide.com/gretsch.html
Good luck! Great looking kit.

6 months agoThanks for your help Steve. I was told they were purchased "in the 60's". Are the serial numbers or markings that might determine the date of manufacturing?

They look like they're from the 60s going by the badge. Gretsch serial numbers don't really pinpoint a date, but there is some correlation. I included some links that will help you get more information. The badge definitely falls in the 60s era. It's hard to tell from the photos, but it looks like it's gold sparkle. You might have to take of a head or two to see if there is a paper badge inside and the interior color. I also included a link for Slingerland serial numbers.
That is a very cool drum set. I would interested if I didn't already have five kits. Your set is a very desirable "jazz" kit. That 14x14 floor tom is the kicker. A very cool, vintage Gretsch jazz kit. Doesn't get much better than that!
Good luck!
Steve
