Classic vintage 1960s sound Armand Series Zildjian Cymbal Pack. This specific pack was apparently only available around 2007-2008, I am the original owner. The set is in very good condition - I am a home hobby player so these were never, for example, bashed to compete with guitars at an outdoor gig. No pets, non-smoking home. Kept in cymbal bag when not in use.
Complete set: 21" ride (no rivets - this is not the 19" Armand "Beautiful Baby!" ride); 18" and 16" Thin Crashes; 14" Hi-Hats; 10" thin splash. Plus Armand Series cymbal bag and original box.
The basic Armand Series pack did not include the 18" crash, so this is one of those harder-to-find packs. Do an online search for Armand Series Cymbal Pack for reviews and discussions from when they were first released.
The photos Zildjian ran in the ads showed, e.g., Cream/Ginger Baker and Hendrix/Mitch Mitchell amng others from the 60s, so that's the sound they were going for - bright, washy ride, fast cutting crashes, and loud hats. I find the ride sings with wood-tip sticks, especially a ball or a bead tip.
No cracks, dents or chips. No flea-bites. The 21" ride and 18" crash show a bit of wear around the hole but no keyholing. There are photos after each for a closer look. That wear comes from having used hard rather than soft plastic sleeves, not from metal-on-metal contact.
The 21" ride has a lot of stick marks, just FYI. Cutting bell sound.
Assembling a pack like this from individual used cymbals online could run you upwards of $1200-1400 and that's without the original box and cymbal bag. Good deal here.
Heavy to ship. If under $60 I refund balance.
