Up for sale is a nice 1965 Ludwig Pioneer snare 5.5" x 14" in fantastic White Marine Pearl wrap. This drum was owned and played by John Dittrich of Restless Heart. This drum is signed by John.
Ludwig Keystone badge serial number places it at 1965. Date stamp year is smudged but reads "OCT 22 xxxx". VERY clean interior paint. Mahogany/Poplar/Maple shell, maple on the inner ply. Maple reinforcement rings. Some slight fading in the White Marine Pearl wrap; I took a photo with the hoops off to show the slight yellowing/fade. Slight lifting at the seam of the wrap, also photographed.
5 1/4" to 5 3/8" deep shell. Chrome is in excellent shape. Hoops appear to be chrome over brass. Original tension rods and brass washers. P 83 throw, and P32 script butt plate in excellent condition. Baseball bat muffler in excellent shape with little to near wear in the white felt. Shell is round and heads spin freely. Some very small surface scuffs in the original WMP wrap, but most are barely noticeable.
