Spotlight on Seller Ting Tinpoti of King Louie Music

Ting is probably the most active member of DrumSellers, posting something for sale almost every day. I think his slogan is "Quality AND Quantity". We are so glad to have him aboard with all his cool gear. In his dealings with buyers, he exemplifies the sense of community and trust that we have here. Here's Ting's story as told by the man himself:

"I started in the music "biz" 57 years ago when I was 8 with accordion lessons. When I got bored with the accordion I picked up the bass, the guitar, the drums, and then again keyboards all of which I still play daily.  In 1977 I trained as a guitar repair apprentice learning lacquer finishing, wood and electrical repairs. In 1979 I moved from New York to Los Angeles and got a job in the repair department of Valley Arts
Guitar Shop. While I was there I went to Los Angeles Valley College and studied Commercial Music Techniques and Studio Recording.  Two years later I left Valley Arts and opened my own repair shop in Van Nuys California. In 1983 I returned to Long Island and reset-up my repair business and also worked with various music stores doing their repairs.
That lasted 10 years until I purchased a home and a shop building in Carlisle, Pennsylvania where I am here to stay. I have owned my own fully equipped 16 track analog recording studio since 1983. Currently my wife Alexandra ( who is an artist, writer, painter and film maker) and I are making our own music videos of both of our material."

Hey Ting, is that the Ludwig 6.5 Pre serial number Natural brass snare I traded you for the Ludwig kit? That’s such a rare snare!
